Summary: The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for providing sales support and develop strong relationships between the customer and company, Field Sales and other Team Members by processing information and responding to inquiries and requests.

- Processes customer requests and inquiries: quotes price and delivery information to field sales, customers and/or to other requestors that are received; follows up with vendors, customers and Field Sales on quotations; processes return material authorizations after validating returns; obtains approval to issue credit memos; enter replacement orders; responds to order status requests and delivery expedites.
- Maintains and administers customer purchase orders; accepts, acknowledges and writes up replenishment requests; completes purchase order reviews against proposal submitted and ensures contract flow downs are included; communicates with customer email and telephone; maintains customer contracts and annual purchase agreements; confirm or acknowledge sales orders; completes change notices on new or existing parts; verifies customer drawings to vendor design; cross reference; works with vendor engineering to meet customer requirements or communicate
exceptions. - Interacts with staff to remedy or address customer issues; checks status of documentation affecting customer / customer orders; resolves accounting problems such as price discrepancies; credit, freight charges, short shipments and export restrictions.
- Promptly follows up on quotes to secure orders. This includes qualifying the opportunity, working with the customer to resolve any concerns, convincing the customer to buy the product quoted, and working with internal resources to better position our proposal to win the order.
- Notes the reason for lost quotes and opportunities, maintains won/lost reports, and recommends/makes changes to assure future opportunities are won.
- Provides accurate and timely responses to inquiries, questions, and customer escalations.
- Determine and/or obtain appropriate pricing strategy within guidelines and obtain necessary approvals; obtain delivery lead-times and quote notes. Recommends changes to pricing or lead times.
- Enter customer and vendor quotes into the Microwave Components System and scan supporting documents.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-year degree, or similar life experience and/or
- Experience in customer service or inside sales preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylum seeker
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Web proficiency.
- Familiarity with computer ERP operating systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, manuals, ISO 9000/AS9120 and company procedures and QA Manual.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as effectively speak to customers, vendors, and employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as metric equivalents, discounts, tariffs, percentages.
- Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished orally, in writing, electronically, by diagram, or schedule form.
